With a varied and diverse projects-background, Ian has often been relied upon to provide sound Technical Consultancy on a wide range of Engineering disciplines.

In 2009, Ian built the World’s first purpose-built 3D OB for Sky (UK); a challenging project which was at the cutting edge of technology at the time and in 2013 was involved in the early stages of Sony’s 4K (UHD) solution and the company’s first 4K OB design.
I have known Ian Davis for many years, from when he was my point of contact at Sony Europe where he was leading the R&D of 3D TV filming (using kit not seen before) and also when moving into 4K production in a similar capacity.
He was and remains my go to guy for any questions I have or need answering.
The knowledge and experience Ian has with the latest OB trucks is amazing and he continues to be a very useful problem solver!
The 4K/UHD truck built for Telegenic was a ground breaking move for the TV industry in the UK, slowly being followed by other Truck builders.
